Marketing Tip of the Week

Issue 61

Client Milestone Posts

Fellow agents, staying top-of-mind doesn’t always mean talking about real estate. Sometimes, it’s about being there for your clients during life’s most meaningful moments. Simple social shout-outs for birthdays, purchase anniversaries, or even wedding days or anniversaries, as well as the loss of a loved one, including four-legged family members, can go a long way in making clients feel seen and valued.

This is what I like to call "Social Hugging."

These little celebrations create big opportunities. A happy birthday post or a “1-year in your dream home” message isn’t just thoughtful, it reminds your client (and everyone watching) that you’re more than their former agent. You’re part of their story.

And here’s the best part; when your posts spark engagement. They invite comments, likes, and shares, which not only boost your reach but also strengthen your connection. It shows future clients that you care about more than just the sale—you care about the people.

So let’s not miss these moments. Schedule them. Celebrate them. Let your clients and their timelines know you’re still cheering them on. Because strong relationships lead to strong referrals, and it all starts with a little genuine heartfelt recognition.

Thought of the Week

Keep Planting Those Seeds

How Small Actions Today Lead to Big Wins Tomorrow

The Magic Is in the Planting

Let’s be real, being a real estate agent can feel like you're tossing seeds into the wind, just hoping one sprouts. You follow up with leads that ghost you, send birthday texts that get left on “Read,” and smile through networking events where no one remembers your name (yet).

But here’s the thing, every one of those moments? They’re seeds. Tiny, quiet, but mighty seeds.

You may not see results right away, but that doesn’t mean nothing’s happening. It just means the roots are growing below the surface.

Messages Matter (Even When You Hear Crickets)

You know that lead you followed up with six months ago, the one who never replied? Don’t write it off. People remember how you made them feel. That check-in message, the helpful video, the “just thinking of you” email... they stick. Not every message sprouts a deal tomorrow, but you’re building trust, one thoughtful nudge at a time.

And let’s not forget the algorithm gods of social media. Just because a post didn’t get many likes doesn’t mean it wasn’t seen. Your consistency tells people you’re in this for the long haul, not just for the commission check.

The Little Things Add Up

  • That client appreciation card? Seed.
  • Your handwritten note after a showing? Seed.
  • The way you answered a stranger’s “quick real estate question” at the grocery store? Yup, seed.

We often think success comes from big, flashy gestures. But in real estate, it’s the accumulation of small, sincere actions that builds a thriving business.

Just like in gardening, you don’t tug on a seedling to make it grow faster; you water it, give it sunlight, and stay patient. The same goes for your relationships.

Trust the Harvest

When you feel discouraged, when the inbox is quiet and the pipeline looks a little thin, remember, you’re not failing. You’re farming. That spring market bloom? It’s rooted in the work you did last fall.

Stay kind. Stay consistent. Keep showing up. Your future clients are already watching, even if you don’t know it yet.

🌱 What seeds are you planting this week? Drop a comment and let’s inspire each other to keep nurturing the business we love.

The E-Myth Real Estate Agent

Why Most Real Estate Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It

by Michael E. Gerber and Brad Korn

In the next section, Michael and Brad walk through the practical steps for transforming a real estate practice into a real business, one that can thrive without being entirely dependent on the agent.

Key Points:

  • Lead Generation Systems: Successful agents don’t chase clients—they attract them through consistent marketing, referrals, and automation.
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM): A well-managed database is an agent’s most valuable asset, ensuring repeat and referral business.
  • Leveraging Technology: Automating tasks like follow-ups, email campaigns, and transaction management increases efficiency.
  • Creating a Client-Centric Experience: Standardized processes ensure every client receives the same high-quality service, leading to more referrals and repeat business.

I’ve always known about the importance of systems, but seeing how they apply specifically to real estate made it click for me. The focus on CRM and automation was especially eye-opening. And I saw immediate opportunities to improve how I manage client relationships.

Please share your thoughts on whether you've already read it or are reading it now. I would love to hear your thoughts! And, if you're looking for more inspiring reads, don't forget to check out my book 📚 club.

Yours truly,

Michael B.
