Marketing Tip of the Week

Client Love Reels

Turn Testimonials into Scroll-Stopping Social Proof

Let me ask you something. When was the last time you posted a client testimonial as a video instead of a graphic?

Most agents collect kind words. Fewer actually use them well. And almost no one turns them into short, simple “Client Love Reels.” That’s a missed opportunity.

If you want real estate marketing that builds trust fast, this is one of the easiest wins on the board.

Here’s why it works. People don’t just want to hear that you’re good at what you do. They want proof. Social proof. Familiar faces. Real voices. A quick 20-second clip of a happy client saying, “Michael made this so easy,” hits differently than a Canva quote on a beige background. (No shade to beige. Beige has feelings too.)

Short-form video is still dominating platforms like Instagram and Facebook. And for real estate agents looking for ways to build trust with clients online, testimonials are gold.

They answer the silent question every buyer and seller is thinking: “Will this agent take care of me?”

Now here’s the part that agents overthink. You don’t need a Hollywood setup. No ring light the size of a satellite dish. Just ask at closing:

"Would you mind recording a quick 15–30 second video about your experience?”

Most clients will say yes. They’re excited. They're grateful. And they’re still riding that closing-day high.

Keep it simple. Three prompts:

• What were you nervous about at first?

• What surprised you during the process?

• Would you recommend me, and why?

Then post it as a Reel. Add captions. Tag them if they're comfortable. That’s it.

These types of real estate marketing tips don’t just help you improve engagement. They position you as the trusted guide. And trust is the currency in this business.

Remember, a Dream Without a Plan Is Just a Wish. If testimonials are sitting in your inbox, you don’t have a marketing strategy. You have unused assets.

Try This Today

Text one past client and ask for a 20-second testimonial video using the three prompts above. Don’t wait for the “perfect” time. And when you post your first Client Love Reel, tell me how it goes. I’d love to hear what kind of response you get.

Thought of the Week

Do NOT Rush Clarity

Slow the deal down long enough to speed up the results.

You ever notice how the second you “finally” get a lead on the phone, your brain wants to sprint to solutions like it’s trying out for the Olympics? Same. But here’s the truth: clarity is rarely instant. Most of the time, it shows up after you ask the next good question… and then one more… and then you shut up long enough to actually listen.

Rushing clarity is how we accidentally sell people on the wrong plan. And then we wonder why the transaction feels like wrestling an octopus at week three.

Clarity has a speed limit

The market moves fast, yes. But the client’s confidence doesn’t always match that pace. They might say, “We’re ready,” when what they really mean is, “We’re nervous but don’t want to look nervous.” Your job isn’t to match their panic. Your job is to give them a calmer lane to drive in.

Good questions beat good speeches

The best agents aren’t the ones with the fanciest scripts. They’re the ones who can gently pull the real story out of people. Try questions like:

  • “What would make this move feel like a win six months from now?”
  • “If we don’t find the perfect home, what are you willing to compromise on?”
  • “What’s the part of this process you’re most worried about?”

When you ask better questions, you stop guessing and guessing is expensive.

Silence is a superpower (and yes, it’s awkward)

After you ask a strong question, don’t rescue them from the pause. Let them think. That’s where the truth usually sneaks out. If you jump in too fast, you get surface answers. If you wait, you get the stuff that actually guides the strategy.

Trust the process, not the mood

Clients ride emotional rollercoasters, especially in a competitive market. One day they’re confident, the next day they’re convinced the sky is falling because a house had beige carpet. When you trust the process, you become the steady one. And steady wins referrals.

What Are Your Thoughts?

Where have you seen “rushed clarity” create extra drama in a deal, and what’s one question you’re going to start asking sooner to slow things down and get the truth on the table?

Rehumanize Your Business

How Personal Videos Accelerate Sales and Improve Customer Experience

by Ethan Beute and Stephen Pacinelli

Why Personal Video Changes Everything

After clearly defining the gap, the authors pivot, and this is where the book really starts to shine. Instead of offering a complex system, they offer something surprisingly simple: show up on camera.

Key Points

  • Personal videos instantly relay facial expressions, tone, and intent.
  • Authentic beats polished, every single time.
  • Short, imperfect videos outperform scripted, corporate ones.
  • The goal is presence, not performance.

My Reaction

This section felt like a collective sigh of relief.

The authors go out of their way to remove the pressure most people associate with video. No studio. No scripts. No "radio voice." Just you, speaking clearly and kindly, like a real person.

I enjoyed this part because it reframed video from something intimidating into something freeing. Video isn't about being impressive; it's about being recognizable. By the end of this section, I wasn't asking, "Am I good on camera?" I was asking, "Am I being clear and helpful?"

And that mindset shift kept me hooked.

Please share your thoughts on whether you've already read it or are reading it now. I would love to hear what you think! And, if you're looking for more inspiring reads, don't forget to check out my book 📚 club.
